19-20 Final Farewell
LA Staff News
Staff Check-out List
- NEE: You have submitted your PDP, UOI, and had your summative meeting with Melissa.
- Grades: Have grades completed by 11 AM. No dashes should be in the gradebook. Anything changed after this date will require a grade change form.
- Print gradebooks (both semesters) and email Nancy Laven and Gail Stark. Here is a video how to do so!
And, anything you can do to tidy up the building for summer cleaning would be greatly appreciated. Example: Put smaller things in cabinets, etc so that when they empty out spaces to deep clean it is easier for them.
Farewell, LA Staff!
But WE all know that the heart and soul of LA is the people--the kids, families, and staff--YOU--that make us all love the work we do every day. THANK YOU for everything you do to make LA special. I just told someone the other day--who gets to say they work with the most passionate, talented, and smartest people in the system!? It's literally enthralling to know that each of you holds your special gift, and my oh my is my job easier because I get to tap into your awesomeness!
Thank you. Disconnect. Enjoy your summer. I can't wait to get to work with you in the fall!!
Years of Service Awards
As you might expect, the format for our annual Convocation kick-off event will look different this August. Detailed plans will be shared with staff later this summer, but please know that we are committed to continuing several of our longstanding traditions for staff, albeit in a different format. At the top of this list would be our Years-of-Service Awards .
As in the past, we will be recognizing those of you who have completed your 10-, 15-, 20-, 25-, or 30-years of service with LPS by June 30, 2020. Please email Lynn Martin by Friday, May 22, 2020 , if you are due to receive a plaque this August. Be sure to include the building you are assigned to, along with a summer contact number .
The reason we ask you to contact us with your information is that our District spreadsheet does not track total years of service with LPS in cases where there has been a break in service. (PSRS and PEERS do track breaks in service for retirement purposes.) Therefore, please take any breaks in service into account when thinking about whether or not you should receive an award this year.
As a reminder, details as to how awards will be distributed will be shared later this summer. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us in the communications office.
