News from the Principal
Wow! What a great first week! It's hard to believe, but we are already 3 days into the new school year. This newsletter is typically sent each Thursday or Friday, but I wanted to go ahead and send a few items to you in advance.
General Items and Helpers:
Please contact the Fabulous Ms. Emily Boyanton with general office questions or changes in arrival or pick-up. Please notify the office of changes in pick-up no later 2:00 pm. Her email is eboyanton@sjnok.org, or you can reach her in the school office at 354.2509.
Polo shirts for K-8 students must have the SJN logo from Dennis Uniform. Please contact the office if you're experiencing order delays.
All Pre-K through Kindergarten students MUST use the front for arrival. Older siblings can enter the building through the front door of the school to avoid parents having to make two drop-offs.
If you typically carpool with other SJN families for dismissal, please contact Ms. Emily to have additional dismissal tags made. This will help expedite our dismissal process in instances where family groups ride home together.
St. John Nepomuk Catholic School feels it is very important that all school employees are able to attend school Mass each week. If your child is later than 8:20 on a Friday Mass day YOU MUST bring your child to the Church and check them in with his/her teacher. If your child is in PK3 or PK4, please report to the outside accessible classroom door.
We will continue to offer early morning drop off for $5 per day. This is available beginning August 11TH. Early drop off is Mon—Fri from 7:00 am to 7:30 am. If you are interested, please contact Mrs. Sue at csparizek@sjnok.org, or call the school office at 354.2509
PURPLE rear-view mirror hang tags are required at dismissal! Please have this in clear view during dismissal. Vehicles not displaying the information are subject to ID Check with the school office. If you need additional copies, please contact Ms. Emily at eboyanton@sjnok.org or 354-2509.
Our school day begins at 8:00 am. If a student arrives after 8:00, he/she must be escorted to the front door of the school office by a parent or guardian to be checked in. Please note that students will not be penalized for tardiness resulting from a back up due to health screenings.
To ensure students have water to drink in the instance of a forgotten water bottle, we are asking families to donate bottled water in both 8 and 16 oz. bottles if possible. These donations can be brought to the front of the school. We appreciate your help and generosity!
