Google Classroom Updates
First, let's talk Classroom. If you attended the 1:1 trainings this past summer OR you like to read about Google in your spare time, you might have already heard about the newest Google Classroom features. Here's the rundown if you haven't:
Rearrange the order of your classes on your Classroom homepage. Just click and drag (So easy!)
View each student’s assignment history to track their progress. (Great for conferencing!)
Use decimal grading. (Finally!)
Display your Classroom join code reeeally big. (Go big or go home.)
Transfer ownership. (Good for long-term subs, or any change in role)
*If you find you don’t have the ability to create a new class after clicking on the + sign from the homepage, please submit a tech ticket.
Goose Chase EDU
Do you love scavenger hunts? Are you looking for a way to engage students, promote collaboration, and collect evidence of their learning?? Check out the NEW, FREE, Goose Chase EDU!
Goose Chase is a web-based platform for creating scavenger hunts. Teachers can create custom missions for their students in any language right on the Goose chase website. You can choose from or create a variety of missions including picture/video missions, text in missions, and GPS check-in missions. (This could be especially useful on field trips!) As teams complete their missions using their smartphones, teachers and students can view submissions on the Goose Chase feed.
What new about Goose Chase EDU?
The Educator Basic account for Goose Chase EDU is free to use and allows teachers to…
Create unlimited games.
Have up to 5 teams in one game.
Have up to 5 devices per team.

Kahoot Studio
Kahoot, every high schooler's favorite quiz game (It’s definitely the music), has recently introduced Kahoot Studio. Kahoot Studio is a curated collection of mostly MATH games aligned to Common Core Standards. Games are created by Kahoot staff and expert educators, and can be duplicated and modified to fit your needs.
New to Kahoot? Kahoot offers an easy-to-use game creation platform where teachers can customize their game questions with visuals, video, and gifs. Questions can be written in a variety of languages or mathematical symbols. Kahoot can be used to create quiz games in both individual or team modes, do surveys, spark discussion, or present ranking activities. Students can play Kahoot using a Chromebook, tablet, or smartphone. After you play, Kahoot provides you with valuable data on student progress which can be used to determine next steps in instruction.

GoGuardian
What is it? A Chromebook management system
What devices does it work on? District-issued Chromebooks (9th grade student Chromebooks, or cart Chromebooks)
What does it do? By activating a GoGuardian session, the teacher is able to see what students are working on, create a custom digital learning environment, grab students attention, message students and more.
Who is it for? Classroom teachers only were initially set up with accounts.
How do I setup my teacher account? You should have received a personal email from GoGuardian/Harry Doctor (sent in the beginning of September). The user-specific link in the email will allow you to login and set your password for the first time. If you don’t recall seeing the email, do a quick search for “GoGuardian” or try restoring items from your Outlook trash (you can do this in webmail only). Still don’t have the email? Submit a tech ticket.
How do I import my classes and start a session? Learn more by checking out the how-to resources posted in Google Classroom, explore the GoGuardian support site, or watch videos on their YouTube Channel.
iBoss
Help! I can’t get to any websites on my personal device! Not even Google! If you, or your students*, are experiencing this issue, then you’ve hit a roadblock with iBoss.
What is it? A new content filtering system that will give you personalized access to the internet (you will have more access than students, yay!)
What do you need to do if you’re using a personal device? You must install the security certificate found in the quick links of the WW-P website. Select WW-P Wireless Certificate and follow the directions.
I’ve installed the certificate, now what? You will need to login to iBoss. Try going to google.com and test if the iBoss login screen appears. Use your @ww-p.org credentials to login.
*Students received an email @wwprsd alerting them to this change. They will need to go through the same process if they are using their own personal devices on the wireless network.
