Saint John XXIII Catholic School 2021-2022
Sixth Sunday of Easter
As our celebration of the Easter season is coming to an end, the liturgy reminds us that Jesus remains with us through the Holy Spirit, who teaches us everything we need to know, reminds us of all that Jesus taught, and brings us peace.
All of us need someone present “in our corner” to embody the Teacher who leads us to be our fullest selves. Jesus did that for the disciples. He taught them in ways that encouraged them to leave their previous lives to follow him in ministry and to change the world in so many ways. In this Sunday's gospel Jesus is doing the brave work of preparing his disciples for the time when soon he will be gone from them and they must carry on his Father's message without him.

**REPORTING ABSENCES** VERY IMPORTANT FOR OUR TRACKING OF HEALTH AND SAFETY FOR OUR SCHOOL
A reminder for all families that the AHS Daily Assessment needs to be completed and actioned each morning prior to coming to school. If your child is experiencing symptoms please choose:
- “Flu-like symptoms”
- “Other Illness or Injury” If they are experiencing symptoms that you do not deem to be flu-like, or your child has a medical appointment.
- “Parent Excused.” If your child is experiencing no symptoms at all, please choose this. The parent excused absence should only be chosen if you are keeping your child home for a reason that does not pertain to a medical issue. (i.e dance competition, vacation)
Thank you for your diligence and cooperation with this.
