Possley and Potts named Golden Apple Winners
Congratulations to Bay Harbor Elementary special education teacher Kristen Possley and Lineville Intermediate fifth grade teacher Heather Potts! Kristen and Heather were honored as Golden Apple Award winners in surprise school visits February 16.
From the Board of Education Meeting February 13, 2023
- The Board recognized The Giving Tree Board for its service to the community.
- The Board approved End Policy E-1, Graduate Profile: Critical Thinker, Solutionist monitoring report.
- The Board received information updates on facilities and community growth and enrollment projections.
- The Board approved Governance Process GP-10 Conflict of Interest monitoring report.
- The Board debriefed the staff and Bay Port student council linkage conversations.
- The Board discussed the process for filling the student representative to the Board position.

How can you take time for your physical health over this long weekend? Here are some ideas to try with your family:
Shovel snow and then build a snowman
Have a family challenge to drink ½ your body weight in ounces of water
Plan a healthy meal and make it together
Take a break from the hustle of normal life and go to bed early, take a nap or spend time relaxing
Join us Wednesday, March 8: The March engagement series topic focuses on current trends in drug use and availability. Join us as staff from the Brown County Health Department and Officers from the Brown County Drug Task force share what they are seeing in our community and with our youth. Bay Port Wrestling Qualifies for Team State - Sends Five Individuals
Congratulations to Coach Shefchik and the Bay Port Wrestling team! The Pirates Qualified for the team state event March 3 in addition to sending five individual qualifiers to the state tournament this weekend.
A Way with Words
Megan Dickman-Renard has translated a love of languages into a publishing career focused on serving the local business community. The 2008 Bay Port High School graduate is a recipient of the Greater Green Bay Chamber Future 15 Award, and a finalist for the Young Professional of the Year, presented to an individual with a demonstrated commitment to Greater Green Bay through civic and business involvement.
Dickman-Renard is the Founder of Dickman Media Group and the CEO and publisher of The Business News, a print and online newspaper dedicated to serving the business community of Northeast Wisconsin.
