May 18th: A Few Spots Left!
Relationships are paramount for all learning. Most important are student's relationships with teachers, their school and their learning. Data from the 2016 Oakland County Student Engagement Survey tells us that students want to be known as individuals. We want to help!
The morning will be related to self-assessment, motivation, and teaching for engagement. The afternoon we will further unpack Robyn Jackson's book entitled: "How To Motivate Reluctant Learners" to learn how to support students who have yet to own their own learning. There will be plenty of conversation and opportunity to grow learning around motivation, student engagement and how we SUPPORT (or hinder) intrinsic motivation. Participants will walk away with the book, a lunch and a personalized, detailed plan for growth.
Facilitated by Bryan Dean and Mary Perfitt-Nelson
