Dealey Dragon Update

April 2016

Message from the Principal

Dealey Parents,

First, I would like to say congratulations to you and your kids. Our school was chosen by Educational Results Partnership (ERP) and the Institute for Productivity in Education (IPE) as an Inaugural 2015 Texas Honor Roll recipient! The Texas Honor Roll is part of a national effort known for its extensive and rigorous analysis of student achievement in public schools. Our school stood above other schools in the state because of our success in getting students to higher levels of achievement and beyond. We are so proud of this accomplishment. Way to go, Dealey!

Our Blue Ribbon Applications were submitted on March 11th. Thank you so much to anyone who helped out in the process. We appreciate your support! I can't believe we have to wait until September to find out if we will actually receive the awards for both schools.

I would like to say thanks again to everyone who supported our Dealey Auction. Whether you made a donation, helped with a class project, or bid on items, we appreciate your generosity. It was wildly successful and a lot of fun, too!

Finally, our first administration of STAAR was this week and we will have more testing in May. Please see the calendar dates below for future testing dates.

Thanks for all you do!

Beverly Lusk
