Updates from School Nurse Mrs. Travis

Happy March! I am so glad that spring is just around the corner and I bet you all are too! March 14th -20th is National Sleep Awareness Week for 2021. Sleep is so important for our health but is often overlooked or underrated. Want a chance to earn some PBIS points? Go to this link https://kidshealth.org/en/teens/how-much-sleep.html, read it over, and name two ways you can help yourself get more sleep. You can submit your answer on its learning in advisory. Go to resources, CSA Cares Kit, Nurses office; click the link contact the nurse and fill out my form. You can also stop by the health office and tell me.

Everyone is still doing an excellent job of staying home when you are sick. Thank you! Keep up the great work of taking care of us by staying home when sick and having your parent or guardian call the office. Keep wearing those masks correctly, washing hands often, and physically distancing whenever possible. You ALL are AMAZING!

Take Care!

Sign Up for e-Alerts!

In order to communicate with parents, guardians, students, staff, and community members, BCSC has an e-Alert system that will send text alerts and emails.

When you sign up for e-Alerts, you have the option to select only district messages or messages pertaining to specific schools. You can sign up for as many schools as you would like.

BCSC uses e-Alerts to communicate school closings, delays, early dismissals, and emergency announcements. Depending on the situation, BCSC could send e-Alerts to specific building lists or to the entire district.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS

Students need to be in class to participate fully in the learning experience. As a school, we've set a goal of 98% attendance for our students. Please help us reach our goal by encouraging students to get to school every day they can!

Help us meet our goal and start the school year strong!

1st Period starts at 7:45 a.m.

Reminder to all that our day begins at 7:45 a.m. Students who are arriving to school as a car rider or driver should plan to be in the building by at least 7:40 a.m. in order to fire up their laptop and be seated in class ready to begin promptly!

Stay healthy!

We want our staff and students to be and stay healthy! When we are healthy, we are present and productive!

Remembering to practice simple daily steps can help prevent the spread of germs:

  • Wash your hands!
  • Cover your cough/sneeze
  • Eat well and build up your immune system
  • Exercise to build your body's strength
  • Sleep and get plenty of rest

HELP US CA$H IN!
