SENIOR REMINDERS

Seniors

Decision Day is just around the corner for the class of 2021. Seniors, please check your email from Mrs. Otto. In the email is a survey that she needs to be filled out so she can plan for your Decision Day.

Senior & Baby photos were due Thursday, March 25th. Please get pictures turned in ASAP. Mrs. Osterhout will need wallet-size professional pictures sent digitally by email or USB. We would prefer the pose to be that of a traditional head and shoulders shot without props, words, or logos. Please inform the photography studio of these requirements.

For your Baby photo, a digital copy can be emailed to Mr. Couling (brian.couling@concordschools.net) or a physical image can be brought in to Mr. Couling to be scanned and uploaded.

ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL SEL CORNER

SEL Info for The Buzz:

Next week is our FINAL new Trait of the Week trait in the Elementary School/Good Human Skills Focus Area in the Middle School. We made it through all five Learning Areas...which is a HUGE deal!

4/26/21- 4/30/21

Learning Area: Responsible Decision Making

Focus Area: Apply decision-making skills to deal responsibly with daily academic and social situations.

CMS Good Human Skill: “I can make responsible decisions in school and with others.”

CES Trait of the Week: Decisive

We will absolutely be focusing on SEL throughout May and June (even without new traits/Good Human Skills!) by revisiting our previous Focus Areas and garnering feedback from our students about which traits they enjoyed most, have questions about, or would like to explore further.

ES Morning Announcements 4.23.21

MAIN STREET CLOSED - WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!!

The elementary and middle schools will not be accessible from Main Street for the remainder of the year. That forces our entire district to use the high school entrance. This has created some very dangerous situations because we now have car traffic where we have not had car traffic all year long. Our students are not used to having to watch for vehicles in certain places. PLEASE be aware of this and drive slowly.

The high traffic places include the road behind the high school gym to board buses, the sidewalk from the middle school to the administrative building, and the students leaving the elementary school that walk across the parking lot to get to their parents. To help with traffic flow in the ES/MS, we have created a map and posted it below. Please do not drive in the center lane of the parking lot to let your student out of the car, pick them up, or pass traffic it is too dangerous. If you park and need to exit using the center lane of the parking lot, please be patient. If you are exiting a parking spot, please follow the flow of traffic to reduce congestion.

The added traffic also creates issues for the buses. They need to be able to run at certain times, so we need for the community to stop and let our buses move ahead. If the buses are forced to wait for the traffic to clear out, they are behind schedule. Please do not attempt to drive behind the elementary and middle schools at any time from 2:30 - 3:00. There will not be access to the softball field by car until after 3:00 pm.

We realize this is inconvenient, but for the safety of everyone, we need your help slowing down, being patient, and keeping your eyes open. We appreciate your help with this.
