School Spotlight - Democracy in Action!

Sunset Ranch Coyotes practiced their right to vote this week! We listened to speeches from candidates running for Leaders of the Pack and then cast their votes via Google Forms. It was difficult to choose because all of the candidates were clever, funny, and engaging in their speeches. Our first runners-up became our Executive Board Members at Large. Our President is 6th grader Jake W. and his VP is Jodh F. The Leader of the Pack Secretary/Communications Officer is Joe L. and our Treasurer is Reza B.

First through sixth grade students voted during Friday's morning recess to finalize the names of our stuffed coyotes that visit classrooms that win SUPER Spirit Wear Fri-Yay. Ginger will be our Upper grade coyote mascot and Fluffy will be our Primary coyote mascot.

September 11th - We will never forget

First responders were honored at Sunset Ranch on September 11th. Students, most dressed in red, white, and blue, celebrated the heroes in our very own community. We all reflected on the importance of the day, now known as Patriot Day. We sang songs and spoke words that reflected feelings of Patriotism and respect.

September's Attendance Awareness Month Challenge!

There are only two weeks left in our Attendance Awareness Month challenge! From now until September 28th, each class at SR will have an opportunity to win something amazing! The teacher and class can choose from a number of fun things if they win: story time with the principal, lunch picnic (instead of in the MPR), extra recess, structured games at recess, or teacher's choice. When the WHOLE class is on time and stays all day (no tardies, no early outs, no absences), they are one step closer to earning something fun!

Virtual Backpack

Each week, flyers that would have taken money & supplies to print and time to count out & distribute are placed on the VB on the school website. This is where many of our community partners advertise after school clubs, sports, child care and more.
