COVID-19 Update
There is a feeling that we are very slowly easing out of lockdown with the introduction of our 'double bubbles' last week. However, at this point it is still not clear what that might that may mean for College in regard to any plans to return to campuses after 1 June. Hopefully, we will be able to share some more details in the near future; as we said last week, updates will be included in this newsletter. #GuernseyTogether

Liberation Celebrations
Despite being very different to our usual Liberation Days due to the current lockdown, we hope you were able to celebrate the 75th anniversary in some way. The island certainly looked fantastic with all the colourful bunting and decorations on display. We thought we would share with you a few images of our staff liberation day decorations, and this video of our colleague Katie and her family's rendition of the 1940s classic Chattanooga Choo Choo.
New part-time Course! Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Music
If you know someone who is passionate about music we are launching an exciting new part-time course for aspiring local musicians, the first in Guernsey to offer students the opportunity to study popular music at this level. Equivalent to one A’ level, the two-year part-time course is run in collaboration with the School of Popular Music (SOPM) and is suitable for all instrumentalists or vocalists who have some proficiency and the passion to develop as a performer.
The main emphasis is on performing both as a soloist and as part of an ensemble, and there are units focusing on creating your own pieces using music software, and written units exploring popular music and the music industry, for example.

Contacting You
The College’s preferred method of contact with parents and carers is via email. Please add the email address of your child/ward's course Customer Liaison Office to your list of ‘safe senders’ or to your contacts list/address book to ensure communications from them arrive directly into your inbox, rather than going into ‘junk’ or ‘spam’.
As you will be contacted directly by the relevant CLO regarding events specific to your child/ward’s course/programme area, it is important that they have an up-to-date email address for you. Their details are listed below.
