HOUR PROJECT-AISLYNN'S ANGELS
Candy Bar Bingo is almost here! It is Friday, March 20th from 6:00 to 8:30. We are 4th graders in Mrs. Gibson’s class and for our Genius Hour project we want to help an HSE family. We are selling cookies, wristbands, and candles for Fishers Junior High student, Aislynn Ball, who has Gardner’s syndrome. The money will be donated to her family for Aislynn’s medical bills. Gardner’s syndrome is a type of syndrome that makes tumors grow all over your body.
The wristbands are $2.00 and the cookies are $1.00. The tea light candles are 50¢, the medium candles are $1.00 and the large is $1.50.
We will be selling from 6:00 to 7:30. Make sure to bring money to Candy Bar Bingo!
We hope to see you there!

Report Cards
Report cards were available to be viewed on Skyward today. Please refer to the data sheet that was sent home recently for specific information regarding your child's reading level, fluency rate, and math facts. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. We will be working hard during the last nine weeks so we are ready for third grade!
Students will be bringing home two different math website log-in sheets. One is for xtramath and the other is for tenmarks. Xtramath is what we use at school to practice math fact fluency. Tenmarks is to study math topics. Both are free to use and can be accessed on a computer or device.

Our next Words Their Way spelling test will be Thursday, April 2nd!
Monday
Study your Wordly Wise Words
Read a book of choice for the remainder of the 20 minutes.
Tuesday
Have your child cut out his/her sort and sort the words into categories like the ones we did in school. Your child should read each word aloud during this activity. Ask your child to explain to you why the words are sorted in a particular way—what does the sort reveal about spelling in general? Ask your child to sort them a second time as fast as possible.
Practice Math Fact Fluency either with flashcards or apps.
Wednesday
Study your Wordly Wise Words. The quiz is on Friday.
Read a book of choice for the remainder of the 20 minutes.
Thursday
Do a “buddy sort” with your child. Lay down a word from each category as a header and then read the rest of the words aloud. Your child must indicate where the word goes without seeing it. Lay it down and let your child move it if he or she is wrong. Repeat if your child makes more than one error.
