Islandwood Updates!
payments, permission, chaperones, fundraising...
Off we go!
We are getting set to head out to outdoor school on Bainbridge Island in less than one month! We will leave on buses early Monday morning 10/20 and return before school ends on the afternoon of Thursday 10/23. It's time to turn in permission slips, and beginning or full payments ASAP. Next week, be on the look out for packing lists and health forms from Islandwood.

Payments...
The total cost for Islandwood is $132 per student. We are accepting payments by cash, check, or credit cards (Visa or MasterCard only, no debit cards) in the office or over the phone (253-945-4401). If you are unable to pay the full cost up front, please consider making a $20 deposit by Oct 17th and then $16 per month by May 17th.
In addition, if you are able to sponsor a student or donate a small amount toward others, we can add those donations to our fund. We have already received some donations, and will continue fundraising throughout the year and hope to offer assistance to families on a need basis.

Permission
Your child has already received the permission slip for the trip, and that should be returned ASAP (ask your teacher for a new copy if needed). Additional paperwork (packing list, health forms, safety contract, etc.) will be sent home in a packet next week and special care should be taken to fill out each form and returned promptly.
Chaperones
We are still looking for more chaperones to join us on the trip. Chaperones must be 18 or older and have completed a Washington State background check (available in the office - can take up to 2-3 weeks for approval). If you are not sure if you have a background check on file, please contact the office at 253-945-4400. Interested family members should contact their child's teacher.
Fundraising
Are you interested in helping the 5th grade fundraise for our trip? Consider making a donation to sponsor a student or a smaller donation to add to our fund.
You can also contact Ms. Hubbard to volunteer for the fundraising team and help us with some events to raise more money.
