ESOL Tip of the Week
ESOL Reminder of the Week
Beginning January 12th through February 12th, all English Language Learners will participate in ACCESS for English Language Learners, our state's English language proficiency test. The test consists of four subtests (speaking, listening, reading, and writing). Students will be scheduled to take each subtest on different days throughout the testing window. All 1st - 5th grade teachers have received a copy of their students' testing schedules in their mailboxes. During this testing window, ESOL teachers will be testing students daily, therefore there will not be ESOL instruction during this time. It is critical that we work as a team to complete testing in a timely manner. When an ESOL teacher comes to your room to pick up a student for testing, please allow the student to go with him or her. The sooner we complete testing, the sooner ESOL teachers can return to the classroom!
The following rooms will be used for testing throughout the testing window:
- A105
- A204
- B207
- B106
- 207 (Science Lab)
- C102
If you have any questions regarding ACCESS testing, send your questions to Meghan Gregoire (meghan.gregoire@pgcps.org).
