Mozart wrote a piece of very famous music for the Oboe called the Oboe Quartet
Roy Carter was born in 1949 and has been playing the Oboe since he was 10 years old. His Orchestral career started when he was playing for the Philarmonia Orchestra as Co-Principal Oboe and then the English National Opera Orchestra as Principal Oboe

The Parts of the Oboe
The oboe consists of two sections, the upper joint which is for your left hand and the lower joint is for your right hand.
At the top there is the reed that you blow into and it is made out of reed,
Just below the reed is the staple,
Next is the Rod System,
Then there is the Upper Octave Keys,
Then the Little Finger Keys,
After that there is the Keywork,
Last but not least is the Bell where all the sound comes out of.
