Mission Statement
A quality Fine Arts education is essential to a well-rounded education for every child. Students that participate in the Arts are able to explore their passions and develop the creativity that is vital to every student's growth. Fine Arts teachers in Little Elm ISD are committed to the district's vision to Engage, Equip, and Empower each student to realize their full potential.
Let's promote LEISD Fine Arts on Social Media!
Kaden Hill was nominated by Rita Cox, the Theatre Director at Little Elm High School. Mrs. Cox had this to say about Kaden:
Kaden is an amazing role model and leader in our Theatre department. He does almost all the warm-ups before rehearsals and is always sensitive to the needs of his peers. He is our Vice- President of the International Thespian Society. He is also a member of our Improv Troupe which got 2nd at state and was also the lead in "Epic Proportions", "The Wizard of Oz", and our One Act Play, "Blood Wedding".
Ravyn is one of the most incredible talents that will ever come through Strike Middle School. She is an incredible artist with an unbelievable work ethic. She exemplifies our core values here at Strike (Respect, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence ) while possessing an outstanding amount of talent at such a young age. I can count on her to lead by example when I can't be everywhere at once and her consistency is really something to marvel at. 2-D or 3-D, regardless of the medium, everything she works with turns to gold. She'll definitely be contributing to society in a gigantic positive way someday with the heart she has. I can't tell you enough about how proud and thankful I am to have her as one of my students. The art world could only be so lucky to have her focusing her talent and time in that direction.
Kristi Liou teaches Music at Brent Elementary School.
Prior to coming to Brent, Kristi Liou taught band and piano since 2006 at Kailua Intermediate School, Jarrett Middle School, and Kawananokoa Middle School in Hawai'i. She has a Bachelor's of Education degree and a Master's of Arts in Music Education degree from the University of Hawai`i Manoa (UH). While at UH, she studied clarinet under the tutelage of Mr. Henry Miyamura. From 2009-2013, Mrs. Liou chaired the O`ahu Band Directors' Association (OBDA) Middle School Honor Band. She served as the OBDA Treasurer from 2014-2016 and the OBDA Secretary from 2017-2019. Mrs. Liou considers herself fortunate to have had the opportunity to guest conduct the Maui Intermediate Select Band, the UH Summer Band, and the OBDA Middle School and Beginning Honor Bands, as well as adjudicate the Kaua'i Solo and Ensemble Festival. In 2013, she was awarded as "Teacher of Year" for Kailua Intermediate School and in 2016 was also awarded the Windward "District Teacher of the Year". Mrs. Liou was also inducted into the American School Band Directors Association, Hawai'i Chapter, in 2020.
We are very fortunate Mrs. Liou chose to teach in Little Elm ISD and we are glad to have her on our Fine Arts Team!

In an effort to provide safety and security for all students in LEISD, the district requires that parent volunteers complete an annual background check, due after July 1st of each year. The application used for the check is called AppGarden. The link is provided below. Should a volunteer need to provide fingerprinting, the district will notify the applicant with instructions on how to complete the background process.
THANK YOU for being willing to volunteer of your free time for the students in Little Elm ISD!
