On The Move
Dallas ISD Student Transportation Services
November 11, 2020
Thank You to all of our Veterans for their dedication and bravery. Today, we salute you!
Instructional Time
Student Transportation Services is committed to ensuring all students including those designated as students who receive Special Education services receive their full designated instructional time.
Buses may arrive early to campuses in the afternoon for p.m. dismissal, but students are not to board the buses until the dismissal bell has rung. This will ensure that all students can fulfill their designated instructional time. Only SPED students with a reduced instructional day designated in their IEP will be picked up early by Student Transportation Services.
COVID-19 Rapid Testing
Overtime
Employees who anticipate the need for overtime to complete the week's work must notify their supervisors in advance and obtain approval prior to working hours that extend beyond their normal schedule. Overtime compensation should not exceed 20 percent of the employee's salary from the period July 1 through June 30.
Visit the Student Transportation Services Drivers and Monitors Resources Page for more information on the Policy and the new form to request overtime.
Retention Incentive
The supplemental earning amount is $800 / year with 50% of it paid in December and remaining 50% paid in May.
Driver and Monitor Goals are Now Ready
The goals are located at https://dallasisd.csod.com . Employees will need to use their EAD username and password to log into Cornerstone.
COVID / Confidentiality
Additionally, Dallas ISD DH(REGULATION) Policy states: Standard 2.1. The educator shall not reveal confidential health or personnel information concerning colleagues unless disclosure serves lawful professional purposes or is required by law.
Several of us have different opinions on what steps should be followed when someone at the service center tests positive for COVID-19, but because this is a health related issue, confidentiality laws and District policies prohibit from sharing identifiable information.
For this reason, we follow the District protocol for contact tracing where one of our health service professionals will alert all individuals who were in close contact with a person who tested positive for the coronavirus.
More information about Contact Tracing can be found here
Compliance Training
In compliance with state and federal laws, Dallas ISD requires that all employee's complete compliance training every school year. The deadline to complete this training was October 31, 2020 but employees still have an opportunity to get this done.
The online compliance training videos are available to all District employees in Cornerstone at https://dallasisd.csod.com . Employees will need to use their EAD username and password to log into Cornerstone.
Please visit password.dallasisd.org to reset or change your EAD password.
