When the News is Scary
There is a lot going on in the world right now, and sometimes it is difficult to find ways to communicate world issues to our younger children. We wanted to share this resource with staff and families in case this is a discussion you have been having at home. Click here for the NPR news article. I always like to remember, "Fred Rogers, the beloved children's TV host, famously passed on this advice from his mother: "When something scary is happening, look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping."" You can find this tip and others in the article.
MES Husky Pups End of 2nd Trimester
Our Husky Pups just finished their second trimester of the year! They are working so hard and making great gains academically. Families should look for report cards to be coming home in backpacks on Monday 3/21/22.
Thank You
Thank you so much to all families, students and staff who work hard to make our ski and snowboard programs happen. We could not do it without the assistance of Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, Mammoth Mountain Ski School, Mammoth Mountain Race Department and Tamarack Ski Center. We would also like to extend a huge thank you to MES PTO and Mammoth Mountain Community Foundation for their monetary support. Ms. Hund, Ms. Jefferson and Ms. Quirsfeld have done an amazing job coordinating this year, and we could not do it without their hard work and dedication.
