Providing every student with the keys to open the doors of their future.

A Note from Principal Purfurst

Thank you to all of the families who have helped us keep staff and students in school as much as possible by keeping students are not feeling well home! We know how hard it is to have children at home instead of at school, but our collective effort has helped keep our school open. We continue to have the same expectations for staff members, requiring them to stay home when not feeling well. While this might mean your child has a substitute teacher or sees a different face at lunch and recess, all the adults in the building are excited to work with your children!

An Update from Dean Hawkins

Drill’s This Week:

There are no scheduled drills this week. January 19th is our next scheduled evacuation drill.

Arctic Award Winners!

Congratulations to the following students for being nominated for our first ever Arctic Award recipients for the first semester! These students were nominated by an adult in our building for their outstanding efforts with our CHILL Keys for our first semester of learning. This award will be given out quarterly moving forward! Along with a certificate of achievement, winning students will also receive a yard sign for our families to proudly display announcing this outstanding accomplishment! We do ask however that a family member of our winning students come to the school in order to pick up this yard sign as there are stakes that accompany the signs in order for them to stick in your yard. You may pop-in any time during school hours to pick up your student’s sign! Thank you and please let us know if you have any questions about this process!

27J Schools continue to remain under the Tri-County Health Department's mask requirements. All individuals who enter the building are required to wear a mask. Please help us remain in compliance with this requirement by sending your child with a mask to school everyday. Please also send your child with a backup mask in their backpack in the event their original mask gets lost, damaged, or dirty.
