Plate Presentation Techniques

Tip 1: Hollow Out a Fruit and Use As A Bowl
Some fruits and vegetables naturally lend themselves to use as a bowl. You can hollow out any fruit with a hard peel or rind like watermelons, apples, melons or pumpkins to make an attractive bowl for soups, dips or dressings.
Tip 2: Design the Frame
Strawberries
The chef placed 4ths of strawberries around the tart to give the plate some color and to appeal to the eye of their customers.
Sea Food
The chef stacked the sea foods and dotted the rim of the plate with sauces to make the plate look nice and to show that they spent a lot of time and effort into making this meal
Duck Breast
The creator of this plate obviously took great deal of time putting this together. The duck breast looks carefully sliced and the taco-looking part looks like they were mindful of the appearance of the plate
