From the Principal
Hopefully this message finds you well and in good spirits. We had a great week back after the Thanksgiving Break. Scholars were provided an opportunity to take School Day pictures, and the photographers had positive feedback regarding our campus that was due to everything running smoothly and safely. Teachers provided various instructional activities, and scholars did not miss a beat engaging in them. Thanks to Ms. Jones and our PTA for coordinating our Be Internet Awesome activity for scholars that focused on teaching scholars about Internet safety. There were also articles in the Dallas Morning News and the CHISD Newsroom, so take time to check them out if you have not already; links are included. We look forward to future articles highlighting the greatness that is occurring on our campus. Speaking of greatness, check out the video message “Never Give Up” from one of our 4th grade scholars, Reginald.
This upcoming week, we will recognize the 60th day of the school year, so scholars are invited to dress in 1960s attire. We will also host our Campus Spelling Bee, and we wish the scholars participating in it well. The week will also feature a push to get as many Online Flex Learners and parents to complete the BrightBytes technology survey. Teachers will provide information for the scholar survey. Here is the link for parents to complete the survey.
While we are not accepting walk-ins at this time, you are encouraged to call the campus and/or email us for assistance. As a reminder, if you need support with accessing your Skyward/Family Access account, please email family.access@chisd.net. All families are encouraged to log in to make sure that mailing addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and emergency contacts are accurate. If you need assistance and/or have a question about technology, you may email devicesupport@chisd.net, or call the helpline at 469-272-2082.
