March is Reading Month : Reading is Out of This World!
We've had a great first week of our March is Reading Month at Ike! Students turned in their first reading logs on Friday and should be working on their week 2 logs now. Monday we'll find out how each class is performing.
As a reminder, all students will be asked to set aside an allotted amount of time each day to relax and read. Each week students in grades K-2 are being asked to read or be read to a total of 100 minutes per week. Students in grades 3-4 will need to read 125 minutes per week and grades 5-6 are being asked to read 150 minutes per week.
At the end of each week every student in class that has reached their goal will be awarded a prize for the week. The students that have met their goal after each week will receive a chance to win a book or prize from a raffle drawing as well.
The reading logs must be turned in each Friday; Friday March 12th, Friday March 19th and Friday March 26th.

New Covid-19 Guidelines for International Travel
If you plan to travel internationally, please note that a 7-day quarantine AND a negative COVID test are needed before a student may return to school. (Or the student must quarantine for a full 10 days if you choose not to get them tested.) This is consistent with the CDC guidelines. Should you have any questions regarding travel and quarantines, please feel free to reach out.
Health, Safety, & COVID-19 Communication
We hope our Ike families are staying healthy. Please continue to reach out to keep us updated about your family's health and notify the office if someone in your household tests positive for Covid-19 or if you find out that your child has been exposed to someone who has tested positive. This information will help mitigate the spread and keep our Eisenhower community healthy.
Please note, if your child tests positive for Covid-19, we will need a copy of their test results or confirmation from their physician.
