Notes from the Principal
Dear Skyline Families,
This newsletter is being published on the 3rd day of our teachers on strike. I have heard that some families have been able to join our teachers on the picket line to show their support. I know how much that means to our teachers!
Because we do not have an end date to the strike and a reentry plan for school to start yet, please know any of the dates proposed below may need to be adjusted accordingly.
Enjoy the pictures below, especially the super fun Community Night!
In partnership,
Sherry Malone
Proud Principal
Conferences - Nov. 21 & 22nd
Our Conferences are scheduled for Nov. 21-22nd. You are welcome to sign up for conferences now and going forward. Conferences are in person in the teacher's classroom. If you need a virtual meeting, please select the time in the PTCFast Site and then reach out to the teacher(s) through email to request a virtual meeting.

Thank you in advance for taking care of us at Skyline!
Fall Photo Delivery
Some of you brought to our attention we never recieved school pictures. Dorian's records indicate they were delivered but after a hunt of the building we weren't able to locate them. Dorian is graciously re-printing all of the photos for us.
The office will notify parents when they are delivered so you know to check your students backpack (pick up arrangements can be made if the building is still closed when they arrive).
If you'd like a sneak peek at your child's school photo, log into Parentvue as we have updated all students digital photo.

Community Night
Our First Annual Skyline Community night was amazing! Thank you to all who participated and made the night possible. One of the activities we had at Community Night was a “How do you Say…?” wall. There were several words written on cards in English and people were encouraged to share how to write certain words in a variety of languages. As a result we have school vocabulary (Recess, Health Room, Gym and Library) written and posted around the school in Farsi, Arabic, Irish, Spanish, German, Urdu, Cherokee or others BUT, we want more! Please add to our collection of international vocabulary words by writing on our word wall next to Skyline’s office. The more languages we can represent the better.

Morgan Bowles - Kindergarten Educational Assistant
We don't have an official start date, but it's very exciting that she will be even more a part of our Skyline Team.
Morgan is also working on the logistics to keep a childcare program at Skyline after Champions officially closes. Things are not solidified yet, but we are hopeful that she will be able to support families who rely on childcare at Skyline.
