What's been happening in the Land of Learning?

Greetings from Ms. Cat's Desk

This week welcomed the students with new layout of the classroom. It was well received by the students, enticing them discover different corners and areas around the room.
This week's hi-lights came largely from the wonderful sports events organized by the PE staff. It was a terrific morning, allowing students to experience fun, energetic events that were a great match for their levels of skill and interests. We thank our PE teachers Mr Van and Mr Pratley for all the fun activities, and the military personnel who came to host the games for our students to enjoy! We have also spoken about ways we could keep our body healthy, how to do a 'Vampire Sneeze' (please ask your child to demonstrate), and how our body fights bad bacteria.

I have included a link to the photos folder. If you wish to download your own child's photo, please do so. Ms. Barber has put together a quick video of the Sports Day which you will find below as well, along with another photo video from me.

Things to note for the next two weeks include the Qatar National Sports Day on Tuesday, when there will be no school, and the 100th day celebrations on Thursday which will involve fun activities for all Grade 1, all day. Thank you to everyone who has sent in 100 of something to the classroom. Please also make sure that your child is working through the Valentine's Day cards as homework, and is on track to have them ready for our class celebrations the following week.

Enjoy your weekend.

Ms. Cat
