Week of October 28th
Red Ribbon week is upon us. As we dress in fun ways to show our pride in being drug free, I would like for you to take a moment to understand why this week of awareness is so important and how the Red Ribbon campaign came to be. Below you will find an informational video that tells the story of Enrique 'Kiki" Camarena Salazar and his brave battle against illegal drugs in our country. Our law enforcement officers work countless hours to ensure our community is safe and that illegal drugs cannot reach our children and families. A tremendous thank you for all of your efforts!
Let us as community members stand strong together in educating our children on the ill effects drugs can have; it is imperative for their health and well being. It is our duty to make our students aware of harmful substances and how to handle tough situations when they are faced with peer pressure. Please join in on our efforts to keep our youth drug free and talk with you children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews about staying drug free!
