Ponaganset = CommUNITY
March 2019
Welcome!
At Ponaganset High School, we are a community continuously working towards creating experiences for our students which include project based learning, collaborative tasks and partnerships with outside organizations. Our goal is to empower our teachers and students to take ownership for their learning and work collaboratively to expand their knowledge through authentic experiences. Our high school is a school where community is at the core of what we do and who we are, and encourage our students to engage in academic, extra and co curricular involvement to facilitate this mindset.
Sincerely,
Dr. Renee Palazzo
Principal
Mission Statement
PHS Students Flood the RI State House
We saw first hand what it means to be a Chieftain -- Ponaganset Pride!! Teachers, students, administrators and parents coming together to have a voice in what they believe in.
"The mark of a great school is not one that locks its doors to keep kids inside; a truly great school is where the doors are open and students are free to leave, but choose not to."
Ken Wagner, Commissioner of Education
We will fight to keep Ponaganset doors open to all students because every child deserves an amazing education!

Honoring Wreaths Across America
A Letter from Karen Worcester, founder of Wreaths Across America
The work to support this important mission is no small task and each year we learn and listen to feedback from our volunteers with a goal of continuing to improve processes and opportunities to better serve you. We know we have work to do and are committed to supporting your efforts year-round through more education and resources to help you be successful.
I am truly in awe of the work you do. The time, energy and love you put into the mission matters so much more than I could begin to explain. YOU are Wreaths Across America and it is an honor to have you as part of our extended family.
