Principal Tornopsky's News

We are all an essential piece!

Principal's Point of View

Spring is in the air. Now is the time that students need to buckle down and stay up to date on all their classwork and assignments. We have so many resources available to our students, some we provide and others are free to everyone and we share that information as well. Our teachers are a great resource. Is your student not understanding a lesson or having difficulty with a specific standard? Have them speak with their teacher and ask for help. Some other resources are available on line such as: i-Ready, Khan Academy,, Think Central, and IXL to name only a few. There are many more resources listed on our Franklin website.

Additionally, some parents said that they needed the information again to log into Unify to see assessment scores for their students. I am attaching the PPT again with directions to this site. Your student uses their PB number as their username and password and if they do not know it, please ask their homeroom, math, or reading teacher.

IB PYP Update

This month the IB Learner Profile for March was Knowledgeable and for April it is, Caring. A student exemplifies this trait when they show empathy, compassion, and respect towards the needs and feelings of others. They have a personal commitment to service, and act to make a positive difference to the lives of others and to the environment.
