What Is Shigella
Shigella is a type of bacteria that is very similar to samenela and causes severe dysentery, cramping, diarrhea, vomiting, and nausea, rashes, and can cause death. It attacks the digestive tract and is not normally treated by antibiotics and you have to wait it out because there are no vaccines or cures
How you Get Shigella
Shigella is transmitted through feces and eating it through food and usually infects children because they put their mouth every thing and it is very common in 3rd world country's in the summer. Sewer workers and anyone who might come in contact with young children like teachers and janitors are in high risk because children can obtin it very easily. Shiggella virus produces toxins that destroy the lining of your large intestine which causes ulcers and bloody diarrhea.
Defense against Shigella
Since Shigella is common in children so staying away from children 2 to 6 is the best choice if not, wash hands and clean your food thoroughly. if you get it you can take antibiotics to slow the process of spreading but there is no cure or vaccine
