Counselors Corner
March 2023
The Socorro Independent School District has partnered with Care Solace, an organization determined to calm the chaos of mental health care coordination, to expand access to community mental health and substance use treatment providers for students, staff, and their families.

Kindness Rock Project
NEHS students decorated and delivered a Kindness Rock to every classroom in K-5th (PK will receive their Kindness Rock this week.)
Everyday the student that earned the Kindness Rock has the privilege of keeping the rock at their desk (or teacher selected area). Then the next day, at the end of the day, that student will pass the Kindness Rock to another Rattler that modeled and earned it.
The chain will continue until the end of the year, with our NEHS students collecting the Kindness Class Calendar Logs at the end of each month and returning it for the next month.
Students earning the Kindness Rock multiple times in a month will be featured and acknowledged on the morning announcements.
Parents, please ask you child if they have earned the Kindness Rock and discuss qualities and 'random acts of kindness' that will make them good candidates:)
Please see Mrs Galvez, NEHS Advisor, with any questions.
