Help Stop the Flu at Bethke!

Our school community continues to be impacted by Influenza. Please help stop the spread of the flu to our students by following the 24 Hour Communicable Illness Policy. KISD Administrative Regulation FFAD is in place to ensure the health and safety of all students and states that students who exhibit vomiting, diarrhea, or a fever 100 degrees or higher (Fahrenheit) must be excluded from school. Re-admittance is allowable as follows:

Free of fever (greater than 100) for at least 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication such as Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen. Common trade names of products containing these medications include, but are not limited to, Tylenol, Motrin or Advil.

•Food and liquids have been tolerated for at least 24 hours without vomiting and/or diarrhea, and without the use of medication to relieve these symptoms.

•Students diagnosed with a contagious illness that is being treated with prescription medication, must complete a minimum of 24 hours of the prescribed medication dosage prior to returning to school.

Please see www.CDC.gov for information on Influenza.

NO TARDY "TATERS!"

You may hear your students say, "I can't be a tardy tater!"

Beginning tomorrow, every class that has all of their students without anyone tardy, will earn a piece of a Mr. Potato Head. They will build their "Tardy Tater" each day and after 10 days of no tardies, they will get to bring it to announcements, name it and get a certificate for their class. We hope this incentive will help students remember to be in class on time. You are welcome to join in the fun if you see Mr. Potato themed pieces to "jazz-up" your classes potato.

Thank you to PTA for getting all of the Mr. Potato Heads for our classrooms!
