Kdgn - 4th Grade Spring Concert Information
WHEN: Friday, March 29th @ 1:30
WHERE: Enter through Door 24W - High School Gym
WHAT TO WEAR: Dress in your best!!
Parents and the Cadott community are all encouraged to attend! We are excited to share with you the JOY of making music together.
PICK-UP INSTRUCTIONS: If you would like to take your child home with you after the concert is over, a note must be turned in to the office by 9:00 am on March 29th. This is a more efficient way for us to be sure students are safe and have all the things that they need to bring home for the break with them. You will then check your student out with their teacher after the concert is over in the high school gym. Students without a note will be brought back to the elementary school for normal bus and pick ups there.
WEATHER MAKE-UP DATE: If for some reason this crazy winter seems to hang on - we have set a make-up concert day as Monday, April 1st at 1:30. Let’s all hope we don’t need to use that option!! :)

Conscious Discipline Information
Conscious Discipline provides a comprehensive, trauma-informed social-emotional program that is based on current brain research, child development information and developmentally appropriate practices. All aspects of Conscious Discipline focus on creating a safe, connected environment for children to learn and practice the skills needed for healthy social, emotional and academic development. Conscious Discipline methodology is recognized by SAMHSA’s National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP), and it was named as a national model for character education by the Florida State Legislature. Research shows that Conscious Discipline decreases aggression, impulsivity and hyperactivity while creating a positive environment in the school or home. In schools, Conscious Discipline has been shown to decrease discipline referrals while increasing teaching time and academic achievement.

We are already seeing strong positive effects of implementing Conscious Discipline at the elementary school! After implementing Conscious Discipline this year throughout the entire elementary building we have reduced our disruptive behaviors by nearly half compared to last year!

America $aves Week
Did you know that this week is America Save$ Week? Citizens State Bank is among 1,500 organizations that are participating in the week long effort to educate Americans on how to save.
Often to begin a good habit, you need to start with baby steps. This leads to a sense of accomplishment that produces more momentum to reach the goal. So, as a challenge, Mrs. Sonnentag from the school banking program is proposing that each of you set a money saving goal today. Do you realize that if you saved a quarter a day you would have almost $100 by the end of a year? If you started in kindergarten and saved every year until you started junior high you would have almost $650! If you saved from kindergarten until you were 16, you would have over $1,000 for a car or the start of a college fund. If you saved 50 cents a day, you would have almost $1,300 when you started junior high and over $2,000 for a car or another purchase by the time your 16.
Are you up for the challenge? Great! Ready, get set, save!
Adventure is Waiting!
