Reasons To Keep Your Child Home From School
You should keep your child at home if he/she might spread an illness to other children. Children
who are sick have a difficult time participating in class and learning. Please read the attachments below for further details.

Curbside Lunch Pick-Up at School
Mountain Park ES is serving food to its digital students. Pick-up is available Monday through Thursday, from 10:45-12:45. Thursday’s pick-up will include meals for both Thursday and Friday.
- Students will be offered the choice of both a breakfast and a lunch each day.
- Students will need their Student ID cards. This allows us to process and properly account for the meal.
- The student does not need to be present to receive a meal. A parent/guardian may pick up a meal for their child, but they must have the Student ID card in order to validate their child’s enrollment and eligibility.
- Students will be charged for their meals based on their current eligibility of Free, Reduced, or Full Pay.
- Students will be able to pick up a meal at any school within their assigned Cluster.
- There will be no charging of meals and there will be no alternate meals provided to those without method of payment.
In order to limit direct contact, we strongly encourage parents to add money to their child’s account via MyPaymentsPlus. However, we will still accept cash payment if needed.
School Nutrition Program
A reminder that the free- and reduced-price meal application must be filled out each school year. Even if you filled one out in the spring, you need to fill out a new one for the coming school year. The form for School Year 2020-21 is now available at http://gwinnett.schoollunchchapp.com. You may complete the online application 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
MyPaymentsPlus
MyPaymentsPlus allows parents to pay for contributions and activities and sign orientation documents. All parents must sign the orientation forms. Two documents have been created to assist you with completing this process. If you need additional assistance, you can contact the school.

Fall Fundraiser
We are excited to kick off our Mountain Park Dance Fit Fall Fundraiser on September 8th. Our goal is to raise $11,000 for technology and Chromebooks and to strengthen our school community.
Our school has always relied on fundraising to provide exceptional opportunities to enhance student learning. And this year, we have more needs than we’ve ever had before, which means we need your support more than ever.
We completely understand if your family is not in a position to financially support the school right now. You can still be involved by simply SHARING about our fundraiser with friends and extended family online at funrun.com. Sharing IS supporting!
Just as we worked to safely begin school this year, we are also safely hosting this essential fundraiser based on our school’s current guidelines. Virtual options will be in place to make it easy for all students to participate. We’ll send more details, as we get closer to our kick-off.
Key dates to remember:
- Donating Opens - 9/01- Register on FUNRUN.COM, SHARE, & GIVE!
- Fundraiser Kick Off - 9/08
- Dance Fit Event Day - 9/17
We are grateful for our Mountain Park family! Thank you for your support this year. We all need it!
Reflections
Reflections is a PTA sponsored cultural arts competition. Students have the opportunity to express themselves through creative works on the annual theme. This year’s Reflections theme is, I matter because…
Students can submit a dance, short film, poem or story, original song, photograph, or visual art piece inspired by the theme I matter because... Rules and the submission form are attached and the due date will be in late September- date TBD. The artist statement on the entry form is very important in the scoring system, so encourage your child to write a detailed statement on their piece! Please note that the use of copyrighted material (such as Disney or Marvel characters) is prohibited.
We can’t wait to see what you create!
