Report Card Time!
Not That Anyone Should Be Worried
Report Cards Officially Come Home Today
If you were checking, they reopened the Parent Portal on Friday afternoon. Today is the official report card day and if you requested a paper copy of your child's report card, it will be sent home with them this afternoon. Please do not hesitate to contact me if there are any questions.
A Full Week, Finally!
We will be going full blast this week as we only have two days next week before Thanksgiving. We will be working on our plants unit, continue exploring geometry and measurement and beginning our country research project. The written portion of this project will be completed before winter break with presentations when we return. In addition this week we will be working with a Time for Kids magazine, get new word lists in word study, and continuing our reading groups. Word study will not be due next Friday due to the holiday, rather it will be the following Friday, December 1st.
Quiz Alert! We will have our first geometry quiz on Wednesday.
Test Alert! We will take our plants unit test next Tuesday. If you know your child will not be in school that day, please let me know so we can make other arrangements.
Baby, It's Cold Outside
After the first Arctic blast of the season came through Crozet, I wanted to let everyone know about the county school policy about cold weather. If it is below freezing or the wind chill is below freezing, we offer students a choice whether they want to go outside for recess. However, if it is that could, a student cannot go outside with exposed skin.
