MathCounts Competition
Last weekend, ten students from 7th and 8th grade participated in the Regional Mathcounts Competition at UW-Milwaukee. They competed with over 150 students from 21 different local schools. This challenging national middle school math competition builds problem-solving skills and fosters achievement in four different contests. Congratulations to all who participated!
Parent Teacher Conferences
Thank you to all parents who took the time to meet with your student's/s' teachers for Parent Teacher Conferences on Tuesday. If you missed it and would like to sign up, we have one more conference night next Thursday, February 15 from 3:45 - 7:45. Conferences will be in-person unless you elect to change them to virtual. You can change the conference method once all conference times have been selected. Here are the instructions for scheduling conferences:
- Login to Family Access
- Left side menu - Conferences
- Select desired child & "all conferences" - this will drop down all available classes
- Under status, "Select a Time" or "View Scheduled Times"
- Select "In Person" or "Virtual"
- ** Only follow the next steps to change to virtual meetings **
- Select the "View Scheduled Times" tab
- Select the Change Method" link to use the dropdown menu and select Virtual
While you are here for conferences, please be sure to stop by and visit our Lost & Found just inside the main entrance. There are quite a few items just waiting to be reunited with their owner!
ATTENTION HHASD FAMILIES
HHOPS has started requesting donations for the Celebrate Families virtual auction held in April. If your family has any interest in donating a basket or item to auction off, we would welcome the contribution! Or perhaps your employer would be willing to donate. We are hoping for a great offering this year so we can beat last year's fundraising goal! Proceeds raised will go towards the purchase of new playground equipment at FLES. All donations are tax deductible! If you have any questions, please email hhopsworks@gmail.com.
As always, thank you for supporting your district PTO!
Big congratulations to the following RMS students whose artwork was selected to move on to a state competition upon the completion of the Southeast Regional Art Show on February 24th:
Avery O.
Sam M.
Go check out their work (along with several other HHASD students' pieces) at the Sharon Lynn Wilson Center for the Arts. The show runs until February 24!

Students Staying to Watch the Game?
Students who wish to stay after school and watch home games need to provide permission prior to attending the game. Email Mrs. Viste, viste@hhasd.org or call, 262-628-1032, to allow your child to stay after school. This can be provided for a specific date or noted for the entire season.
Let's go Raiders!
When is a Medical Excuse Required?
If your child has suffered an injury (broken bone, sprain, concussion, etc), a medical excuse MUST BE provided to the office. This is necessary to understand any accommodations that may be needed and an expected timeframe. The information is kept in the students medical file, as well as shared with necessary staff, so we can provide the required accommodations.
