Project Bundle Up
Saturday, October 20 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
There are many families in Rochester that cannot afford to buy their children proper winter clothing. In fact, 19 percent of children in Monroe County live in poverty. Those families just don't have the ability to prepare for the colder weather that the coming months will bring.
For those most in need, Project Bundle Up is their only option.

22nd Annual Rochester Children's Book Festival
Monroe Community College
There will be approximately fifty authors attending to give presentations, read and talk to children, and sign their books. Other activities for children include an arts and crafts room, face painting, and free vision screenings. RACWI (Rochester Area Children's Writers and Illustrators) is the event host, and this year the group will be honoring Jane Yolen on the publication of her 365th book.
Volunteers play an important role in the smooth operation of the festival. They serve in a variety of roles including supporting the authors, helping in the crafts room, facilitating presentations, assisting at the Liftbridge Bookstore checkout, and even face painting.
