FROM THE HEAD'S DESK
"Without exception both the senior boys and senior girls received us with great warmth and were so respectful and well behaved". I know Elizabeth Burton Phillips from DrugFam will be happy that I share her impression of our pupils with you. If you were unable to attend the parents presentation I would advise you to read her book 'Mum, Can You Lend Me Twenty Quid?', it is very worthwhile.
My thanks to the Year 10 Drama group whose performance on ethical trading issues at Thursday's Assembly was outstanding. The Year 11 Parents Evening proved to be a very useful evening as the boys prepare for their final push to the GCSE exams in the Summer (not forgetting the Mocks after Half Term).
Lastly a big thank you to Mr Buckle and his team of parents who have worked so hard to raise funds for the upcoming Cricket Tour to South Africa, even The Rt Hon Theresa May MP sent her congratulations through (see copy of letter above right).

FROM THE TEACHING STAFF
IMPORTANT NOTICES FROM THE MFL DEPT:
Year 11 GCSE pupils of French/German and Spanish: On Thursday afternoon all Year 11 linguists were given a short presentation on how to revise effectively for GCSE MFL. The boys will be issued with a hard copy of the presentation by their language teacher. Please discuss the contents of this with your son, as they should be actively engaged in revision activities at home. There are now 16 weeks until the first language examinations (French and Spanish) and therefore effective revision is vital to success in the final examinations. Mrs Stratton - Head of MFL
