6th Grade Students Get Tech Savvy
Last week, students in Ms. Arrigo's class had the opportunity to "play" with some of the technology that i obtained through a Donor's Choose grant. They played with Ozobots, created with Little Bits, put together Cubelets, and designed with Bloxels. Best of all, they worked together to figure out how each piece of technology works.

Coding
We have started our coding program here at Wickes! By the end of the school year, all students will be coding experts! We are using code.org's coding programs for K-6. Students can also access Kodable, Khan Academy, and Hour of Code at home if they would like to do some additional coding.
Author Study, Station Rotation, and more!
Students in Grades K-2 have been looking at books by Mo Willems and books by Doreen Cronin. We looked at Mo's Website, pigeonpresents.com and we read multiple stories by both authors. We also practiced station rotation with these books. We have also been practicing our keyboarding skills to become expert typists!
