Clubs and Programs
TRIO ETS
We are a college preparatory program funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s TRIO Programs with St. Olaf College sponsorship. The goal of ETS is to increase the likelihood that participants in grades 6-12 learn about careers, college and financial aid, complete high school and gain admission to and ultimately graduate from postsecondary programs. However, we do also accept and serve students who know that they would not like to attend any post-secondary programs.
Some highlights of our services include:
- College tours and field trips
- Step-by-step FAFSA application assistance
- Step-by-step college application assistance and application fee waivers
- ACT Prep and retake fee waivers
- Classroom presentations for grades 6-10
- Online tutoring service
- Mentoring program
All of our services and field trips are completely free of charge to our students. We have no eligibility requirements other than the student needs to be a U.S. citizen. If you have any students in grades 6-12 who you believe would be a good fit for our program, please send them our way. We are in office 3608 on Thursdays and Fridays. Here is the link to our interest form, we will follow up with any students who fill it out!
Student Council
We're excited to be back at school and start prepping for events. We're looking for students that want to be involved in leadership and creating student norms and act as the voice of our student body. The Student Council will be liaisons between our students and admin and help create a student led governing body. This group will be responsible for fundraising and planning of school events and help coordinate our school's two major dances; Homecoming and SNODAZE!
