Principal's News - PYP Authorisation......we did it!!
Our College has been on an amazing journey over the last four years working towards authorisation in The International Baccaulareate. From candidacy to authorisation, The IB has incredibly high standards of pedagogy, educator collaboration and a school wide inquiry learning focus.
During Term 4 last year, our primary team went through the authorisation process. Authorisation is a rigorous process that reviews all aspects of teaching and learning, college policy and student engagement and outcomes. Our amazing team have committed endless hours to professional learning, inquiry based pedagogy and changed learning processes to ultimately, increase the outcomes for student learning. The College receiving a glowing Authorisation Report where Authorisation was granted in the Primary Years Program (PYP)!
We are so proud of our team and so excited that our students can learn in an IB school, growing and developing into lifelong learners with a global understanding who show compassion, empathy and care for others!
Achieving authorisation does not mean this commitment stops, in fact, our journey in ongoing improvement and inquiry teaching has only just begun! The College will go through an evaluation process with The IB every 5 years to ensure the high expectation is maintained and commitment to The IB curriculum is actioned. With the implementation of The IB flowing through the College, our Middle Years Program (MYP) and secondary team continue their fabulous work as we now journey towards MYP authorisation, planned for 2022.
Thank you to our staff, students and parents all involved in the Authorisation process. We can celebrate our amazing growth and achievement while we now set the goals and further our IB programmes.

COVID-19 Operations Guidelines
We are currently able to welcome parents on site however we are required to enforce density quotas when coming together with members of our community. For events where only staff and students are in attendance schools are not required to apply density quotas. What does this mean for us at TLC?
- Parents are welcome onsite but are required to sign in at the Office for all visits other than brief drop off and pick up stops.
- We are sadly unable to open our Chapel and Assemblies for general parent and guest attendance as this would mean density quotas are unable to be met. Alternative options are being implemented such as a modified Student Leadership Ceremony (details below).
- Volunteers may return to classes but teachers have been asked to limit this to no more than three volunteers at a time and parents may be asked to work with small groups of students outside of classrooms in our beautiful grounds.
- Where we are unable to socially distance parents and visitors are asked to wear masks.
- All members of our college community are asked to use safe hygiene practices and not attend the college grounds if unwell.
We know that the lack of involvement at school has been challenging for our families, students and staff alike. We will continue to work within the guidelines while finding ways to welcome our parents and guests and build our face to face community again.
Thank you for your support of us as we ensure the safety of all members of our community and meet the requirements of schools to operate within the restrictions.
Student Leadership - Badge Ceremony
On Wednesday, 10 March, we will hold our 2021 Badge Ceremony for those students elected into leadership roles for the 2021 school year.
Due to density restrictions, this year the ceremony will be held for those students receiving badges and their parents. Whilst the occasion will look a little different to previous years we are excited to be able to celebrate with students and their parents.
Classes will have the opportunity to acknowledge their representatives on a class level during PCG time.
We look forward to sharing photos with our community on Wednesday.
Save the Date - Twilight @ Trinity, Thursday May 6 from 5:30pm
COVID safe measures will be in place on the evening, in line with the DHHS requirements at the time.
PTFA - AGM

The College looks forward to working with our parents and community to rebuild our PTFA after a year where meetings and events where almost impossible in 2020! All parents are welcome and encouraged to come along.
Deutschfest Update
Deutschfest is such a well known and much loved community event however the uncertainty of these current times makes planning the event for this year not a feasible nor practical decision.
The PTFA plans on hosting a number of smaller community focussed events throughout the year that fit within the required restrictions at the time and have an active and excited Deutschfest committee come together early in Term 3 to begin the planning and p[reparations for a Deutschfest relaunch in 2022........bigger and better than ever!!
2022 Prep Enrolments
Trinity is seeing an influx in demand and we would like to make sure our current families are able to attend. If you have a Prep student for 2022, now is the time to complete your Application for Enrolment.
