WEEKLY LITURGICAL READINGS AND REFLECTIONS
29th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Sacred Scripture: Mark 10:44
“Whoever wishes to be first among you will be the slave of all.”
Personal Meditation
Family life can be exhausting! At the same time, God made our family to serve others as well. What does our family do to place others' needs above our own out of Christian love and care?
NCEA Weekly Reflections, Praying with you and for you as we focus on family and mission in Catholic education.
Blessings Everyone!
Our Career Day last spring for our 7th and 8th graders was a huge success, confirming the value of partnering with parent citizens and businesses in our community to bring added current expertise to our efforts to prepare our St. Gabriel students for college and career. This year we would like to expand it to include 5th and 6th grade, and possibly extend over 2 days. We are also working to incorporate connections of STEM culture and learning across curriculum at St. Gabriel, which entails a solid partnership with higher education and business in our community. If you have a career that you are passionate about, and would like to offer your knowledge and experience with it as a worthy, fruitful, and fulfilling choice of career or study for our young people to discover and take their God given talents and go forth and make a difference, please let us know.
Currently we are planning for our Career Day to be on either Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday of Catholic Schools week. We are planning to schedule a series of speakers giving at least one talk, approximately 45 minutes long. Students will choose the various career speakers they wish to listen to. If you interested, and want further information, and are available any of those days, please let us know as soon as you can. Also, if you are interested in working with us to bring in business and higher education partnerships for our student growth and learning, please let us know.
Please contact Ahenrikson@st-gabriel.org, or donnalee.saladino@st-gabrielschool.org.
Thank you!

PTU Sunshine Committtee
The goal of the St. Gabriel PTU Sunshine Committee is to bring a little ray of sunshine, and perhaps a smile(!), to members of our school community that are not feeling very “sunny”. We also like to celebrate happy occasions too! We do this by sending home a card, small gift, or an act of service.
If you hear of anyone in need of our services, please contact the School Office, or feel free to directly e-mail us.
Thank you,
