BHMS Principal's Update 9/28/20
Letter from the Principal, Picture Day, Clubs and Activities
Last week was a unique week as we had the students return. It wasn't a surprise that our Bulldogs were well behaved. Each of the young Bulldogs seemed very unsure of their surroundings (even 7th and 8th graders) as they worked hard to navigate the halls in a one way directional flow. We will continue to refine these procedures since we had the students in front of us for the first time. We will also continue to refine and communicate changes in instructional procedures. As I always say, your patience as parents is incredibly appreciated. Every day gets better and better. This week specific clubs and activities information is coming out. Students in face to face instruction as well as those remote will have an opportunity to engage in the Bulldog culture once again.
Lastly and very importantly, I want to thank all of the parents who reached out to me for clarification on the discovery of an individual from our school who tested positive for COVID-19. Hopefully, these circumstances will be at a minimum. Regardless, I pledge to be as transparent as possible while at the same time maintaining clear directions from the district's health advisors as well as maintaining the privacy of our individuals at school.
Please check out the new updates in this newsletter
Sincerely,
Mike D'Ostilio, Principal

Keeping Up with What is Going on at the Hill!!!
September 24, 2020 Individual Tested Positive for COVID19
Please understand that as long as students are constantly moving in the hall, maintaining 6 feet distance, and wearing a mask, the risk is substantially lessened.
At BHMS, the following is occuring to continue to mitigate risks
- each desk/seat is 6 or more feet from each other
- the students are not in the hall more than 3 or 4 minutes at a time
- all students, faculty and staff are wearing their masks
- students are working hard to maintain the distance in the halls
- all individuals in the building are traveling according to the one directional procedures in the hall
- BHMS has only about 30% of its population in the building on a given day.
- custodians are santizing the restrooms every hour
- students are directed to sanitize and wash their hands and advised to wipe their seating area
For specific information about the above the case on September 24, 2020, Please see the principal's letter at this link: 9/24/20 Letter to Families about an Individual Who Tested Positive for COVID-19.
Keep in mind, any student or adult that enters the gym will need to wear masks. Students can take off their masks when they are being photographed.
