Senior Parents - Be sure to read this!!

Dear Parents,

I know you know better than anyone that time flies when you are having fun and your child is growing up faster than you'd like! We are creating an awesome yearbook that contains high school memories that will last a lifetime for your student. If you haven't ordered yours yet the early bird special of $45 ends December 15. Go to yearbooks.biz and use order number 6814 or send a check to Mrs. Holt at the high school.

Traditionally we sell ad space in the back of the book that honors your senior. You can purchase a half page ad or a full page ad and send in pictures, memories, a note, etc. Our team will create a wonderful ad that you can be proud of. If you would like to create your own ad and just send it in that works too! This is all optional and will only be available until ad space fills up so please act quickly!

Half page ad : $80

Full page ad : $150

These funds help support our yearbook. Send photos and message to lvhsyb@gmail.com. Further questions? Email Mrs. Holt at rebecca_holt@lagovista.txed.net.

PROGRESS REPORTS WILL BE AVAILABLE VIA TXCONNECT AT 10 AM ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 8, 2015.

Tax Ratification Election!

On December 12, 2015, LVISD will hold a Tax Ratification Election. The passage of the TRE
coupled with an Ordinance passed by the LVISD Board of Trustees would effectively move $0.02 from the Interest and Sinking Fund (I&S) to our Maintenance and Operations Fund (M&O). This shift would generate approximately $250,000 in additional state funding for the school district with NO INCREASE in tax rate for the LVISD taxpayers.

Please read more at http://www.lagovistaisd.net/users/0001/Finance/TREFLYER.pdf.

Our Beard and Mustache Club (LVHS's philanthropy club) is collecting toys for our local Blue Santa. These toys go right back to families in the community who need our help this Christmas. Please drop off donations to Mr. Larkin's room!

Interested in participating in the District Improvement Process?

The 2015-2016 District Educational Improvement Council has two open positions: one (1) parent representative position and one (1) business representative position.
