Etiquette Tip of the Week: Tough Interview Questions
What happens in an interview when you don't know the answer to a question?
This is a lot like the rule when you can't remember someone's name. Don't try to finesse, just confess.
"I don't know the answer to that, but I am willing to learn."
If you are dealing with a client, "I don't have the answer, but I will find out for you."
Don't let "don't know" be the end of the show. Use it as an opportunity to highlight your problem solving skills.
Tips for Building Your DULink Profile
DULink is one of the best resources for you to find your next internship, externship, or job. Our online portal can be found through the "Life after Denison" webpage (a Google search of that will lead you directly to it). Scroll down and you will find a link directing you to DULink.
DULink will automatically lead you through a set-up for key information in your profile. Afterwards, you can upload resumes, transcripts, and cover letters, through the "My Documents" tab. This is located at the top of the screen. Hit "Add new," at the bottom of this page and from then on it is the same as adding an attachment to an email.
From here you can search for jobs, externships, and internships under the "Jobs" tab. For most positions you simply need to hit "Apply" and click on which documents you want to include in the application. Presto! You have officially applied to a position.

Other Tips:
- Hit "View" after uploading documents (on the My Documents page) to individually check each document you have uploaded. Make sure that the format has not changed during the upload, because that is how your documents will appear to employers.
- Do not title your documents with too long of a name, this may cause it to not upload successfully.
- If you have any further trouble or need assistance stop by CE&D in 306 Burton Morgan. Our team will be glad to help out.
