#UDLchat "Making Choices"
How Can We Help Learners with the Skill of Choice Making?
Topic Preview
A powerful component of the UDL framework is choice! Educators often begin their UDL journey by giving learners choice. Making choices is a skill that learners need to learn so that they are successful with the choices they make. Let's dig into the concept of choice and how we can support learners as they develop the skill of making choices.
Here are our questions for December 19, 2018:
Q1) When providing instructional options for learners, what strategies do you use to teach/coach learners about making effective choices? #UDLChat
Q2) How do you support learners when they struggle with choice? #UDLChat
Q3) How do you teach self-reflection (strategies) and facilitate the connection to self-directed learning? #UDLChat
Q4) How do you know when the options you offer are good choices for students? #UDLChat
