Finding the Poet and Writer Within

A Summer Camp for aspiring poets & writers grades 3-5

Presented by the California Reading and Literature Project at California Lutheran University

"KNOW THAT THERE IS OFTEN HIDDEN IN US A DORMANT POET,

ALWAYS YOUNG AND ALIVE."

- de Musset

In this four-day writing camp, students will use both their imagination and truth-telling skills to write poetry and descriptive prose. They will practice painting pictures with words, exploring such literary elements as metaphor, simile, anaphora, and alliteration.
