It's SPRING BREAK!
Hopefully, these next 7 days will be a welcomed VACATION for everyone! This is the "breather" before the home stretch ... when classes resume in a week, the Brickie spring sports season will be in full swing (particularly for golf, softball & baseball)!! Enjoy some much needed rest and we will see you all soon!

While the rest of the Brickie tracksters had the weekend off, junior vaulter
Cody Johnston was sprinting down the runway in Virginia Beach at the Adidas Track Nationals held at the Virginia Beach Sports Center! Competing in his 2nd Indoor National meet in as many weeks,
Cody finished 4th overall in VA and earned his second consecutive trip to a podium finish!!

Girls Basketball
Lady Brickie junior guard
Asia Donald has been selected to compete for the IBCA (Indiana Basketball Coaches Association) JUNIOR ALL-STAR TEAM this summer! 18 ladies from around the state were chosen to be a part of this prestigious group!
The 2022 Girls Junior All-Star team was selected through a process that allows all IBCA-member head coaches to nominate players through the IBCA all-state process. The IBCA 20-member Indiana Basketball Coaches Association all-state committee reviewed and voted on players for the 2022 IBCA/Franciscan Health girls All-State teams. The 18 student athletes chosen are subdivided into 3 groups ... 6 core members that will play 2 games and 12 more (6 in the RED Group and 6 in the BLUE Group) will play in 1 of the 2 games scheduled in June. Asia was selected as part of the BLUE group and will join the 6 core members when they play the Indiana Senior All-Stars on June 8th! The site of the game has not been determined at this time.
Asia is the 1st Lady Brickie chosen for this honor since Indiana All-Star and Northern Illinois University Academic All-American Amanda Corral back in 2011!!

Brickie senior
Connor Bock was recently selected to participate in the 56th Annual Murat Shrine North/South Football All-Star Classic!
Connor will compete for the IFCA North team on June 15th @ North Central High School in Indianapolis!!
Only 46 student athletes from around the northern half of the state were chosen for this opportunity! Bock will get to lace them up one more time as a high-schooler at center ... just as he has for the varsity Brickie O-line the last 3 years ... before heading off to Trine University for the next chapter.
CONGRATULATIONS CONNOR! You are continuing a LOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNG legacy of Brickies who have played in this prestigious event! WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU!!

Cheerleading
Shout-out to all of our Brickie Cheerleaders and Coach Angie & staff for their OUTSTANDING WORK WORK WORK at last week's camp! Future Brickie cheerleaders in grades K-8 filled the gymnasium for the 4-day camp to learned cheers, jumps, motions, stunting techniques and a short routine! It really was an AMAZING WEEK!!
GREAT JOB to all who were involved to make this such a memorable experience!
