Ms. Dana & Ms. Terry - Weekly Newsletter- May 9
Dear Parents,
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! What a beautiful afternoon; I hope you are all enjoying the sun!
So nice to meet with all of you on Friday; thank you for coming! Your insights, comments and feedback really help inform my teaching so thank you for taking the time to meet with me.
Over the past few weeks we have been exploring color. We read Leo Lionni's A Color of His Own and Little Blue and Little Yellow. Ellen Stoll Walsh's book Mouse Paint helped introduce the idea of color mixing, making secondary colors with red, blue and yellow. Last week children got to mix paints on their own and experiment with making green purple and orange.
Looking ahead... Our school art show will be held on Friday, May 20th from 4-6 in the gymnasium.
