Shout outs:
Shout out to Kari Layman and Anne Kimbrell. They were recognized Monday evening at the Board of Education Meeting for receiving bonuses this year.
Thank you to our School Leadership Team for coming together Tuesday to review data, share ideas/brainstorm and help us work on continuous improvement!
Thank you to Sabrea! She and Ms. Winkler problem-solved and caught a very small snake (seriously). They caught him under a cup in the hallway. Please keep food thrown away and put up in sealed containers. We do not want mice...they bring snakes!
Thank you to Lee Means for an amazing Art Means Everything! The evening was magical!
Shout out to Blanca Torres, Portia Eiden, Cristina Fernandez, Danielle Rafetto, Jennifer Moore, Joan Carazo, Leah Spencer, Nidia Salazar, Rebecca Nungesser and Stephanie Orchard-Hays. They were part of the planning and committee work for months. Thank you to everyone else that came out to support Lee and make this night happen for our students/families.
Shout out to Marilyn Rowland for preparing kindergarten and third grade students to wow us at Art Means Everything with their musical talents! It was a wonderful evening of celebrating the arts at NCE!
Shout out to Joan and Allison for being flexible yesterday and moving locations when maintenance needed to continue working on the heating/cooling system.
Thank you to Sarah Kirby for driving a second route when there was a need on Thursday!
Shout out to Nanette for problem solving and staying cool when her bus had mechanical problems.
Thank you to EVERY PLC and STAFF MEMBER that is working during I/E to support our most fragile students! We wrapped up examining data Friday in PLC's and 73% of our Tier 2 or 3 students are making above typical or typical growth in reading! 81% are making above typical or typical growth in math! WHOOP WHOOP! Celebrate the growth in your classrooms and set those next goals!
Shout out to every staff member that helped to carry out Check Ins in 4th and 5th grade this week. We were already using data Friday in PLC. We appreciate your helping make this happen...it takes the team!
Thank you to everyone that had fun and celebrated the 100th day of school! It is hard to believe that we are almost half way through the 3rd nine weeks! Those 100 year old first graders were precious!
Shout out to the am car rider team that didn't feel the love on Valentine's morning! We appreciate all you did to keep the line moving and kids safe!
Shout out to everyone for all the growth we have made this year with MTSS! A quote from last week's Weekly Note...a fellow staff member shared: We should celebrate all the growth we've made with MTSS this year! We are on a roll!!! Thank you for sharing in the weekly note!
Shout out to Lynne Crankshaw! The pic below of students reading in our NCE media center is being liked and discussed nationwide on Twitter! The author of the series responded to her tweet! WOW! We are famous! GO LYNNE! The power of Twitter is just WOW!
