Trick-or-Treat
Mrs. Ballard's Wildlight Elementary students participated in a "Trick-or-Treat" Worksheet activity for Halloween! Parents hosted a center where the students rotated around the room to complete a worksheet with math & reading skill-based questions! When they finished each section, they earned a treat!
Super Star AR
Emma Love Hardee's top 5 A.R. Readers in each grade level celebrated their success with Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Clark, and Mrs. Hodges with a special luncheon.
StarBOOKS
1st-grade classes at Callahan Elementary enjoyed a StarBOOKS reading day!
Glue Ghosts
Southside Elementary students made glue ghosts to observe changes in science lab.
A Spooktacular Time
Mrs. Lesoine's Access Points class at Fernandina Beach Middle School had a spooktacular Halloween. They spent the week before Halloween doing Halloween math and language arts activities. They also decorated pumpkins and made Halloween cookies. Then on October 31, they made walking tacos and Mexican rice for lunch and had a monster of a dessert with Frankenstein pudding. Then they listened to a haunted story about a zombie and could feel parts from the story, such as the teeth, toes, heart, brains, worms, and eyeballs. They ended the day with a scavenger hunt, leading the students to a trick-or-treat surprise.
Pumpkin Investigation
Bryceville Elementary had a great time doing our pumpkin investigations in first grade! We measured the circumference, height, and weight of our pumpkins and counted the ribs and seeds. We made predictions on whether pumpkins sink or float, and we were pretty surprised to learn that they float! It was a great day for learning and working together on Halloween!
