Important Update!

Due to some close calls recently between cars and students in the front parking lot, we want to remind SHS students and parents of the rules and procedures for after school pickup. Remember, school buses have priority in the front parking lot at all times. Cars should NOT get between buses as they are pulling into or out of the parking lot, pass any buses when stop signs are extended and flashing lights are on-even in the parking lot, or use the front parking lot for car rider pick-up. If you have questions regarding these rules and procedures, please contact Mr. Jones at: mljones@madison.k12.al.us

The Smith Scholarship

The Smith Scholarship Program is designed to reward those students who have succeeded despite personal and economic challenges. The scholarship is not singularly focused on test scores or grades. Instead, the Foundation is seeking students who have demonstrated a desire to give back to others through volunteer work or assistance to family while maintaining active involvement in their school and community.

Students are encouraged to apply by using the link on this website to an online application. Applications are open to Alabama High School Seniors who have obtained a 2.5 GPA or greater. Applicants must take the ACT or SAT but no minimum score is required. Financial assistance of up to $15,000 for 4 years, study abroad, professional training through the Internship Program as well as Mentor assistance for academic, professional and personal obstacles are offered but conditioned upon strict adherence to Foundation Guidelines.
